This is a report by Dr
Jaques Makambo, processed and typed by Dr. Mark Schreiber. Reverend Ditawa is
suffering from congestive heart failure caused by compromised coronary arteries
leading to cardiac tissue compromise, including left heart failure. He has
accompanying symptoms of swelling in the ankles, or peripheral edema. He has
fluid in his lungs, and is having difficulty breathing as a consequence. He has
suffered some degree of damage to his conduction areas and is having arrhythmias
that the doctors are trying to stabilize. His heart is enlarged and weak, (cardiomegaly).,
and he is very weak. There may be a possibility of kidney pathology, but labs
for this are still pending. He may not be able to travel at this time until he
can be more stabilized and become stronger. If he gets to where he is able to
travel, he will have to be accompanied by a physician on the plane. He is
currently hospitalized in intensive care at Clinic Ngaliema.
