Christian Education Christian Education works to oversee the selection of curriculum and studies for Sunday School and small groups. We work with Fellowship, Worship and Outreach to bring Vacation Bible School, Family Fun Fests, and other special events to fruition. We also help support the activities of small groups within the church with resources and ideas. Sunday School is offered for Pre-k through adults every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. Nursery care is also available at this time. All ages first meet in the Sanctuary for opening worship, then we proceed to our classrooms. Adults are currently studying Confronting the Controversies featuring contemporary controversial issues. Adults meet in the classroom to the left as you enter the sanctuary. Golden Treasures, our seniors group, are following a lectionary-based curriculum and meet in the portable unit to the Right as you walk up to the twin portable units. They also plan special activities each month. High School and Middle Schoolers meet in the “Life Shack” for Bible study on current teen issues and have just finished a study on Joan of Arcadia Season 1- and are really looking forward to Season 2! Upper Elementary kids are learning Bible Truths and learning how to apply them to everyday life and situations. Kids engage in hands on skits, games, crafts and story telling. They meet in the classroom to the right as you walk into the sanctuary. Pre-K through 1st grade is learning Bible stories and truths with hands-on activities accompanied by special storytelling and music. They meet in the first room on the right as you walk down the hall from the narthex. You are invited and always welcome! Anytime is a great time to join in on a Sunday School Class! Other opportunities for fellowship, service and learning……. The Middle and High Schoolers sponsor service and fellowship projects throughout the year. They kicked off the 2007 school year with Operation Christmas Child and collected shoeboxes that were shipped to needy children all over the world. Then in February, our Souper Bowl of Caring raises money for our local food pantry and collects cans of food. The soup cook off contest is always a favorite. High School Youth Group Calendar We also have Bible Study groups doing different levels of the Disciple Bible Study that meet on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday morning. The Men of the Church meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at 8 a.m. for men’s breakfast. All men are welcome to come and be a part of fellowship and study. Our committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the church.
