Our food pantry is in partnership with the Southeastern Food Bank and, on occasion, the Food Bank will provide us with names of needy families. Because of this partnership, we are under written restrictions and these are on file in the church office.
This partnership allows our food pantry to shop for food products. We have registered shoppers that get food from the Food Bank at 18 cents a pound during a scavenger hunt and canned goods and meats at wholesale prices regularly.
Another shopping source has been Food Lion. These goods are tax free. Whole chickens and eggs are purchased at Sam’s Club. The Baker’s Crust has been donating bread for the last year.
